Abstract:

The unique properties of surface plasmon and metamaterials such as the strong local field enhancement and the complete control of light field properties have provided new solutions and opportunities to optoelectronics in terms of functionality, performance and compactness. In this talk, he will introduce some of their work on using metamaterials and plasmonics for optoelectronic devices and wavefront manipuluation, including InSb plasmonics for THz wave tuning, ultrathin THz antireflection coatings, plasmonic coupled fast electrically modulated InGaN LED, graphene plasmonics in mid-IR and THz, optical vortex beam generation and OAM multiplexing using metasurfaces, reconfigurable optics using phase change materials, and photon sieves for high tolerance hologram.
