On Oct 24th, Prof. Hans-Joachim Queisser, the founding director of the Max-Planck-Institute at Germany was invited to visit Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics, CAS.
During his visit, Prof. Hans-Joachim Queisser visited our MBE Lab, Solar Cell Test Lab of Platform for Characterization & Test and Nanofabrication Facility. Besides, he also listened to and gave positive comments on our research progress on the double-junction and multi-junction solar cells. During Prof. Queisser’s communication with our researchers, his advices and comments impressed and inspired them a lot.
Hans-Joachim Queisser is one of founders of the Max-Planck-Institute at Stuttgart. Hans-Joachim Queisser is a solid-state physicist. He is best known for co-authoring the 1961 work on solar cells that detailed what is today known as the Shockley-Queisser limit, which is now considered the key contribution in this field.
