 ABSTRACT:

In this talk, I will show a few examples of our recent progress in biomimetic nanoengineering for the control of cellular microenvironments. On one hand, we introduced several new techniques for both two and three dimensional surface structure engineering and demonstrated their relevance in cell culture, stem cell proliferation and cell migration control. On the other hand, we proposed a new concept for microfluidics based cell assays. Since this approach is diffusion based with open access, it is definitively more compatible to the current biotechnologies and more biomimetic for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine purposes.
