SEMICON West 2013 was held in San Francisco on July 9-11, 2013. It is the annual meeting and tradeshow for semiconductor equipment and manufacture new technologies. It attracts more than 20,000 researchers, engineers, vendors and buyer from all over the world. For 2013 it enter the sixth year of partnering with Intersolar North America to provide a complete experience for engineers and manufacturers whose expertise lies in both semiconductor and PV manufacturing. There are several keynote speakers, and 19 presentations.

Dr Zhang Zehong from Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech & Nano-Bionics, CAS(SINANO) attended the meeting. Dr. Zhang introduced the semiconductor equipment research and the Nano-fabrication Facilities in SINANO, and the progress made recently. Many researchers showed great interests in the research and facility, and expressed the intention to cooperate with Nano-fabrication Facilities. The Nano-X program in SINANO also attracted much attention from researcher from the scientific and equipment fields. It is believed the program would bring a great opportunity for scientific researchers, especially for those in surface science, equipment makers, automation technology provider, etc.
