Prof. WANG Shumin and Dr. Tommy Ive from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden (CTH) paid a visit to Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SINANO, CAS) on October 26, 2010.

　  They delivered reports titled “GaAs Based Telecom Lasers” and “Growth of Nitride Intersubband Structures” respectively, followed by a heated discussion on growth techniques and fabrication of Indium Gallium Arsenide Nitride (InGaAsN), a new semiconductor alloy.

　  Being an expert in Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), Prof. WANG has made remarkable achievements in optical fiber telecommunication laser and metamorphic growth of semiconductor materials and devices. He is also a reviewer for journals and magazines including Applied Physics Letters and Journal of Crystal Growth.
